Publishing a Page

Making your page live.

Publishing your page:

After working with your website in development mode you may want to publish it to a live site for the world to see.  In order to do this it must be 'Published' to the live server.

After clicking the publish button Publish Icon on any page the right pane will show you the status of this page.  The version on the development server is the version that you have been interacting with in Pepperio.  In order to publish, click the 'Publish' button.

If you intend to view a live page and instead go to an address similar to this: yoursite.pepperio.net/404.html, this is because the page cannot be found as it hasn't been published.

Note: if you wish to publish all of the pages in a section of your website simply publish the page in the top of the tree and make sure the 'Publish sub pages as well?' tick box is active.

Note: After clicking the 'publish' button the content of your page will be updated on a 10 minute cycle.

Taking your page offline:

If you wish to take your page offline for any reason, you can do so by clicking the take-content-offline icon: Unpublish Icon.  This will immediately remove your page from the live state, and you will have to publish it again to make it live.

Note: You cannot delete any page without first taking it offline.
