Asset Tools

Bulk upload, resizing, and link tools.

Pepperio comes with some handy tools that will perform the following tasks for you.  These options can be found by clicking the 'Tool Wizard' icon on the right hand navigation pane while in Assets mode. wizardicon

Bulk Upload: Allowing you to import a group of files to the asset library in one go. 

Image Resizing: Assists you in resizing some images too big for your pages.

Checking Link Integrity: Searches your website for broken links causing a 404 error. 

Bulk Upload:

To use the bulk upload feature first make sure that you are in the folder that you wish for the files to be uploaded to. Next select the 'Bulk Upload' feature from the drop down list. 

1. In the new window, click Next.
2. Browse for the files that you wish to upload.
3. When you have selected all the files, Click Finish.
4. The files are uploaded to your folder.

Note: Each files filename is used as the default Pepperio title.  You can modify this and add 'Alternative' tags to images as you wish.  

Image Resizing:

If you want to resize an image, first select that image (or multiple images) and click 'Resize Image' from the 'Wizard' drop down list.

1. In the window that appears click Next.
2. Choose to either effect the image width, its height, or a percentage resize.
3. Enter the appropriate values you wish the new image to become.
4. When ready, click 'Finish', your files will be resized.

Note: You may want to make a backup of the image you are about to change if this is the first time you have used the image resize tool.

Check Link Integrity:

The link integrity check tool will look through all the 'External Links' that you have added to your website as assets.  It will return a report telling you if any of those links are broken or incorrect.

1. Select the links you wish to check.
2. Select 'Link Integrity check' from the wizard drop down menu.
3. In the new window, click next.
4. Select how you would like the bad links to be handled.
5. Click 'Finish' to begin checking.

You will be presented with a report, showing all the links, and their status.
